This project was a design build and install including structural engineering. This was all completed within five weeks so the Restaurant could open on time. Curved steel center stringer design staircase with polished stainless steel handrail.

All stainless steel and glass staircase on parabolic curve. Stringers were laser cut from solid stainless steel plate.

Unique design of open stringer staircase. Each
stringer element is composed of three ply 5/8" thick lasercut cold rolled
steel with a hand applied gunmetal finish. The upper balcony is structural
steel supporting a 1 5/8" thick laminated glass floor.

The store's centerpiece design element - a two story volumned glass and steel sculptural staircase with polish nickel metal work representing traditional loom that links the first and second floors and is illuminated by a programmable color-changing lighting. Installed in two 20-ft. sections the staircase is made from 5/8 in. structural glass and stainless steel rods. Similar materials were used for a smaller suspension bridge that connects an elevator door and a nearby corridor 44 ft above the main floor.
