Curved glass guardrails are supported by mirror polished nickel silver and brushed bronze metal work . The reflective metal, glass and natural light created a sparkling gem light shaft into the showrooms below. Elliptical metal and glass guardrail assemblies were designed to allow natural light to penetrate two floors below street level .

The Beatrice in Chelsea is New Yorks newest chic mixed hotel and high end rental. The long lobby makes the transition from outside to inside with light and warmth. To do so, Architect Philip Koether designed light screens 12 feet tall with exotic puffed aluminum and resin cast panels for texture and color. The screens illuminate from the inside, and block ambient light from the outside.
